Killarney PP

This year, we decided to go camping right after the school year ended, which means no more trial camping in a smaller, closer park.
So we packed our gears, vacuum sealed, air-dried/dehydrated our food supplies, and headed straight to one of our
favourite provincial parks, Killarney!
There are so many new things this year for us -- the most obvious one is our new baby -- Nashi! And this year too, it's our first time to stay longer for 5D/4N. Though we didn't have as much interaction with raccoons compared to last year, this time the insects ie. mosquitoes and black flies were relentless! But as always, it didn't stop us all from having fun and enjoying the activities the park has to offer.

Ready... set... drive!

New discovery #1 - Secret Beach
(they already found this last year but it was only this year that we all get to see it!)
A great sanctuary for introverts like us who dislike crowded beaches and noisy swimmers.

Took us about 30 minutes to paddle.. Mermaid Rock We're here!!! Dad and Nashi bonding settling in... What a beautiful day!
New discovery #2 - Baby Waterfalls
Found it while we were canoeing, paddling aimlessly at George Lake enjoying the beautiful weather

trying to dock... Yay!
New discovery #3 - Back country camp site
We were so happy to see this site empty... so we docked and spent one afternoon, to relax and have lunch.
Luna also discovered a unique type of metal/mineral on this spot! Looks like pewter but not malleable.

Wonder where we're going next?... Yay this back country site is EMPTY! Enjoying the amazing view... lunch and R&R 2014_0107_193302_001 Off to a new discovery...
